James L. Page was the son of Peyton Lucas Page and Hattie Irene James Page, of Warsaw, Duplin Co, NC. James L. Page was a corporal in the U.S. Army, serving from 1942 to 1945. He attended the University of South Carolina and Georgia State College. He served in Texas in the military police guarding enemy prisoners of war. Before the war he was a tobacco salesman for Liggett & Meyers, residing in Wilson, NC. After the war he owned a store in Greenville where he lived with his wife, Harriet Seagraves Page. After he retired they lived in Warsaw. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Greenville and Warsaw.
