Joseph Calbert (J.C.) Page was the son of Peyton Lucas Page and Hattie Irene James Page, of Warsaw, Duplin Co, NC. Joseph Calbert (J.C.) Page was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving from 1942 to 1945. Before the war he was employed by GMAC. He served in the South Pacific, including service on Guadacanal, where he survived the sinking of his troop ship off that island. Following the war he founded Page Home Appliances in Warsaw, where he lived with his wife Elizabeth Hines Page. He was active in the American Legion, the Democratic Party and the Presbyterian Church.
